This site is dedicated to Alexander & Elizabeth Weinman and Colin Weinman.

Alex Weinman sadly passed away on the 15th February 2014 in the Victoria infirmary after a long illness. Alex was diagnosed with prostate & bone cancer in March 2012. Special thanks go to the hospice and especially day care services who provided Alex with both physical and emotional support throughout this period. Colin Weinman sadly passed away on the 12th Sept 2013 in Malaga, Spain after a short illness. Colin was diagnosed with a melanoma brain tumour on 8th August 2013 and survived 6 weeks where he battled courageously. Colin had his first visit from the Laurieston nurses on 3rd Sep, however never returned to receive further support. Beth was diagnosed with cancer on the 22nd July. After the loss of Alec & Colin this came as a cruel blow not only to Beth but to her family. Beth dealt with this in the only way she knew how and continued to put one foot in front other the other and make the very best of her situation living life on her terms showing great courage and determination. Sadly Beth lost her battle to live and passed away in the Prince & Princess of Wales Hospice on the 10th December 2014. Beth was a beautiful lady inside and out and was an adored wife of Alex, cherished mum of Kenny, Karen and Gillian and wee granny to Jonathan, Scott, Hayley, Lauren, Anna and Alexander and baby Harris her first great grandson. One of life's true lady's who will be missed and loved forever. Thanks to the staff in ward 1 who cared for Beth in the Hospice and special thanks to Jackie Peacock who provided Beth and her daughter Karen with emotional and practical support from her initial diagnosis to becoming a patient in the Hospice
